Notes to Applicants in Relation to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance

(1) The information we collect from your application form will be used for the following purposes :
· as a basis for various types of processing in relation to your application for admission to part-time courses offered by the Centre for Design and Multimedia Technology (DeTech);
· for transferring to the student records system of DeTech if and when your application is successful.

(2) DeTech undertakes to keep your personal data confidential. However, DeTech may provide such information to any other person or agent for the purposes described in (1) under a duty of confidentiality to VTC.

(3) In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right
(i) to check whether DeTech holds your personal data;
(ii) to request a copy of such data; and
(iii) to require DeTech to correct any of your personal data which is inaccurate.

You should provide sufficient information to identify your personal data. Otherwise DeTech shall not comply with your request.

(4) If you wish to access your data, you should submit your request in writing to:

(5) In accordance with the terms of the Ordinance, DeTech reserves the right to charge a fee for the processing of data access request.
