Notes to applicants

1. Completed application form should be submitted with crossed cheque or bank draft (made payable to "Vocational Training Council") at least one week before the course starts to the following address:
Centre for Design and Multimedia Technology
Rm 208, IVE (Shatin)
21 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin, NT
(please use one cheque for one application form)

2. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Certificate of Attendance will be issued for those who attended 75% of the classes. (for short courses only)

4. a) For the full day and morning courses, there will be no classes once a typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted or if rain storm red/black warning is announced before the start of the day session. However, if the typhoon signal No. 8 is lowered before or at 7:00am, or if the rain storm red/black warning is cancelled before or at 7:00am, normal operation of the day will be resumed.

b) For the afternoon courses, there will be no classes once a typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted or if rain storm red/black warning is announced before the start of the afternoon session. However, if the typhoon signal No. 8 is lowered before or at 12:00 noon, or if the rain storm red/black warning is cancelled before or at 12:00 noon, normal operation of the afternoon will be resumed.

c) For the evening courses, there will be no classes once a typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted or if rain storm red/black warning is announced before the start of the evening session. However, if the typhoon signal No. 8 is lowered before or at 4:30pm, or if the rain storm red/black warning is cancelled before or at 4:30pm, normal operation of the evening session will be resumed.

In the event of typhoon signals lower than No. 8 or adverse weather or natural disasters or other emergency cases, students should listen to radio announcements made by the Executive Director of the Vocational Training Council regarding the closure of the IVE Campuses or other arrangements. Students should note that announcements made by the Education Department are not applicable to DeTech.

5. DeTech reserves the right to accept or reject any application, and to cancel any courses. In this case, the course fee will be refunded. Otherwise, all the course fees are non-refundable.
